Cask version was first brewed in 1979 by Morland Brewery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the MG car factory in Abingdon. The name comes from the MG factorys works car - the gold speckled MG Featherweight Fabric Saloon, affectionately known as the Ol Speckld Un. Brewed since 1999 by Greene King following the take-over of Morland Brewery. Website

Tasting Notes

Pours a rich golden/amber colour with warming red tones. Has a very fruity aroma with rich, malty undertones. The flavour is warm and bursting with body. Malt loaf and toffee flavours combine with a subtle bitterness, to give a beautiful, balanced sweetness.
